In April 2026, the Federal Court ruled that e-cigarettes with a tank or a detachable refill cartridge holding more than 2 ml will no longer comply with the law. The decisive factor is the size of the tank, not how much Liquid you put in it.
That’s the gist of it. What matters most to you is which specific models are affected and what happens next. We’ve put together a concise overview for you, along with some good news.
The following models are affected
This primarily affects systems that exceed the 2-ml limit due to additional, attachable Liquid bottles or large-volume Pods containers.
The model ranges affected include, amongst others:
- ELFBAR AF5000 as well as ELFBAR NX7000.
- LOST MARY BM6000 and LOST MARY LUX7000.
- VOZOL Vista Plug and VOZOL Neon Plug Max Device.
- SKE Crystal CL 6000.
- Other models from this manufacturer: Ignite P45, Instaflow 5000, Instaflow 10 Pro, Sikary SL 12000 as well as Pixl 8000.
You can still order these products at the moment, but they’re only available whilst stocks last. At the same time, however, we’ve already picked out some alternatives for you for the future, so that you’ll be prepared in case your favourite model is no longer available in Switzerland.

What is the difference between the pre-filled Pods and an open system such as the ELFBAR ELFX?
Pre-filled Pods cartridges, such as those used in the ELFA PRO or TAPPO, are filled at the factory and are disposed of after use. An open system such as the ELFBAR ELFX uses empty Pods cartridges, which you can refill yourself repeatedly using bottled Liquid.
