Why choose TEREA sticks for your system?

If you decide to, Order TEREA online, you’ll receive products based on modern technology. Unlike older tobacco sticks, which were pierced from the outside via a heating element in the device, TEREA sticks utilise the innovative Smartcore Induction System.

Each individual stick is completely sealed at both ends and contains a small, specially coated metal element inside. The corresponding heating device generates a controlled magnetic field which precisely heats this element within the stick. This gently heats the tobacco from the inside out.

Features at a glance:

• No arrears: As the stick is sealed, no tobacco grit falls into the heater.
• No cleaning required: Your appliance stays clean at all times, which helps to ensure a consistent flavour profile.
• Exclusive compatibility: Please note before purchasing that TEREA sticks have been developed exclusively for the IQOS ILUMA series devices (ILUMA Prime, ILUMA Standard, ILUMA One). They are not compatible with older IQOS models and must never be lit using a conventional lighter.

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions about TEREA sticks

Can I use TEREA sticks in older IQOS models (e.g. IQOS 3 DUO)?

No, that isn’t technically possible and could damage your device. TEREA sticks were designed exclusively for the Smartcore Induction Technology of the IQOS ILUMA series. Older devices use a heating element that is compatible only with HEETS sticks. TEREA sticks are sealed at both ends and contain an internal metal component that would damage the heating element in older devices.

How do the classic TEREA varieties differ in terms of intensity?

The strength is determined primarily by the depth and richness of the tobacco blend. The following are considered to be particularly strong and intense: TEREA Bronze (with hints of cocoa) and TEREA Sienna (with wooden notes). TEREA Teak and TEREA Amber are in the middle of the pack, whilst TEREA Yellow has the mildest and lightest tobacco profile.

How do the TEREA Pearl varieties work?

The Pearl varieties (such as Abora, Amelia or Twilight Pearl) contain a small flavour capsule in the filter. If you use the stick without pressing the capsule, you’ll experience a classic tobacco flavour. By applying targeted pressure to the capsule symbol on the filter, the capsule breaks open and releases additional freshness or fruit flavours. This means you can decide for yourself if and when you want to change the flavour profile.

Is there an age limit for buying TEREA sticks in Switzerland?

Yes. Since the National Tobacco Products Act (TobG) came into force, a standard age limit of 18 has applied in Switzerland for the purchase of all tobacco and nicotine products. We only sell our products to adults.

How should used TEREA sticks be disposed of?

As TEREA sticks contain a small, sharp-edged metal component inside for induction heating, they must be disposed of in normal household waste (residual waste) after consumption and a short cooling-off period. Under no circumstances should they be placed in organic waste, in the paper recycling bin or left lying around in the environment.

Why do TEREA sticks need to be stored in a dry place?

As the sticks are made from real tobacco and wrapped in paper, they are sensitive to moisture. Excessive humidity can affect the draw and alter the flavour. You should therefore always store your TEREA packs in a cool, dry place at a constant room temperature.
