Your FAQs for Vapes

Yes. Vape and ‘e-cigarette’ refer to the same device. It vapourises E-Liquid instead of burning tobacco.

You take a puff on the mouthpiece. A sensor detects the airflow and activates the battery.

The battery heats up the coil (heating coil).

A wick feeds the E-Liquid to the coil, where it vapourises.

You inhale the vapour and breathe it out again.

If you pull on it for a very long time without a break, the device will switch off briefly. This prevents it from overheating.

Read more about this in our Guide to e-cigarettes.

The flavour becomes weaker or tastes burnt. Less vapour is produced. On many devices, the LED flashes. You can find out what these indicators mean in your device’s user guide. If it’s simply the battery that’s flat, you can charge rechargeable devices using a USB-C cable.
